Anna-Rose Zayan
(she/her)
I’m currently based in Norwich, and have previously lived in London, Philadelphia, and Paris, where I grew up.
My poetry is for the most part experimental and visual; I like to play with the page and the words (and the reader…), exploring spaces, the body and the act of writing. I love writing in both French and English, trying to cross the barrier between languages. I particularly enjoy game poetry, where the reader plays as much of a part in the work as the writer and has to solve encoded poems.
In my spare time, I make online content, write articles on Substack (every now and then), do a lot of scrapbooking and house decoration in Animal Crossing. I have a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing, an MA in Poetry and a Level 6 in Creative Coding. So basically, I like reading, writing, and creating. I’m currently working on a project about childhood, memories, language and connecting to distant things.
